Hello there! I'm Mark Wingate, a Toronto-based photographer. Today, I'd like to share some tips on preparing for your engagement session. These are pre-wedding photo shoots that let me, as your photographer, and you, as the beautiful couple, get to know each other better.

The first thing to consider when preparing for your engagement session is your outfits. Your clothing choice should reflect who you are as a couple. Don't feel pressured to dress up in formal attire, unless that's what you're comfortable with. Choose outfits that you feel good in and that coordinate with each other. Consider the location and the season when choosing your outfits. Lighter colors tend to work well for outdoor, summer shoots, while warmer colors may be better for indoor, winter shoots.

Speaking of location, the setting for your engagement session should hold some significance for you as a couple. Whether it's the place where you first met, your favorite park, or simply a location that matches your aesthetic, the location should be a place that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed.
