If wedding photography were an Olympic sport, Photography by MW would take home the gold—effortlessly. From the moment we booked, Mark was an absolute pro: organized, creative, and somehow always in the right place at the right time (seriously, does he teleport?).

On our big day, he captured everything—the laughter, the happy tears, and even the uncle who thought he was the next TikTok sensation on the dance floor. The photos? Flawless. Every shot told a story, every frame felt timeless, and somehow, he even made us look like we belonged on the cover of a bridal magazine.

If you're on the fence about booking him, just do it. Future-you will thank you!

Vilma & Emmerson | A Stunning Wedding at The Vue Event Venue & Clubhouse

Hello there! I'm Mark Wingate, a Toronto-based photographer. Today, I'd like to share some tips on preparing for your engagement session. These are pre-wedding photo shoots that let me, as your photographer, and you, as the beautiful couple, get to know each other better.

The first thing to consider when preparing for your engagement session is your outfits. Your clothing choice should reflect who you are as a couple. Don't feel pressured to dress up in formal attire, unless that's what you're comfortable with. Choose outfits that you feel good in and that coordinate with each other. Consider the location and the season when choosing your outfits. Lighter colors tend to work well for outdoor, summer shoots, while warmer colors may be better for indoor, winter shoots.

Speaking of location, the setting for your engagement session should hold some significance for you as a couple. Whether it's the place where you first met, your favorite park, or simply a location that matches your aesthetic, the location should be a place that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed.

Now, let's talk about posing. This might feel a little awkward at first, but remember, it's my job to make you look good. I'll guide you through the process, but it's always helpful to come with a few ideas of your own. Look through some of my previous shoots or browse Pinterest for inspiration. The most important thing is to be yourselves. Authenticity always shines through in photographs.

Finally, I want you to remember that this is supposed to be a fun and enjoyable experience. Relax, laugh, and enjoy the moment. The best photos come when you're just being yourselves and letting your love for each other shine through.

I hope these tips help you feel more confident and excited about your upcoming engagement session. Remember, this is about capturing your unique love story. Just be yourselves, and I'll take care of the rest. Can't wait to meet you and start creating beautiful memories together!

Preparing for Your Engagement Session: A Guide for Couples

Video Title

You will find the about page from my existing website between the “” below. You can use this section primarily for tone of voice and style as opposed to content. Make sure that all references to the self are in the first person singular, as I am the only photographer on my team. Please also ensure that there are no references to “our team” or “our photographer”. Instead, all writing should be coming directly from me. I would also like it to be quite down to earth and without lots of fluff and flowery language

"My name is Mark Wingate, I am a photographer based out of Toronto, Canada

Photography is my calling, my profession, and the thing that will undoubtedly drive me insane someday.

I don’t photograph subjects, but rather, I photograph the way they make me feel. Admittedly, it’s a bit of a strange concept. But it’s honest – and it’s the best way to describe my approach to the craft.

I wrestle with every image I shoot. I assume perfection is possible and I want to wring it out of every picture. If that’s all you ever know about me, it’s enough to say you know me very, very well"
